Flamingo Valentine's Day Craft for Kids

It's already mid-January, and before you know it, Valentine's Day will be here! My kids love doing crafts and recently received a huge art bin full of fun craft supplies for Christmas, so I wanted to come up with a fun craft to make that had a Valentine's Day theme.  This flamingo Valentine's Day crafts is so easy to make and doesn't require a ton of art supplies. Plus, your child will have fun making it!

Supplies you'll need:
Construction paper
Pipe Cleaners
Googly Eyes
Scotch Tape
Glue
Feathers
Black Marker

First, you'll cut out a heart from a piece of construction paper. Then choose one pipe cleaner and tape it to the back of the top left side of the flamingo. This will be the neck and head, so bend it accordingly. I found that taping on the pipe cleaners was more sturdy than using just glue.

Then choose one more pipe cleaner and cut it in half. Tape them to the backside of the bottom of the heart to be the flamingo's legs, and bend them like mine shown in the first picture above.

Next, glue or tape on a feather to the back top right side of the heart flamingo.

Cut out a small beak, making sure it has a curve, and color in the end with a black marker. Glue the beak onto the end of pipe cleaner. Lastly, glue on a googly eye.

And there you have it, a cute Valentine Flamingo! Easy right? My daughter loved making this craft!
